Designated Pilot Examiner
Lance was born in Salt Lake City. He lived in Silver City, NM for part of his youth before his family returned to stay in Salt Lake City. It was at a young age that his fascination with flight began. The family would commute on a Jetstream that serviced Silver City to make a connection in Albuquerque. Friendly pilots would routinely let Lance sit up front...and the dream was born! Lance started flying in 1996 during college. Lance attended the University of Utah and earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Sport Science Physiology. Initially on a pre-med track, he switched career goals after an introduction flight. In early 2000, Lance earned his CFI and has been instructing since. He has over 3,000 hours dual given and has signed off over 100 applicants. In 2010, Lance earned his Masters of Education from Westminster College. He is a 3-time Master CFI and is a contract pilot on Citation 525 aircraft. When he is not flying, he enjoys hiking, biking, camping and wakeboarding.
